Just picked up "Fantasy Economics: Beyond Gold Pieces" and it's a game-changer! Finally someone addressing the weird economic holes in fantasy worldbuilding. The currency systems chapter gave me tons of ideas, and the price calculation tools have already made my market sessions way more interesting. Detailed enough to feel realistic, but still very creative.
This is a WOW! book. Unless your group is just 2 dimensional hack and slashers, it might just annoy them. I can see this as a VERY cool thing for the solo gamer though. A really cool level of detail that could lead to a lot of really engaging fun. And I think this could be inserted into any role game I have ever played, and I have played nearly everything since the 70s. And it will appeal to any group that enjoys the role play angle. 66 pages of very well laid out content.
